艾尔米塔什博物馆位于俄罗斯圣彼得堡的涅瓦河左岸，被誉为世界文化与艺术百科全书式的博物馆。

博物馆主建筑群有6座，其中5座——冬宫、小艾尔米塔什、旧艾尔米塔什、艾尔米塔什剧院和新艾尔米塔什都向公众开放。现存最古老的建筑冬宫，是伊丽莎白女皇于1754 年下令修建的。

博物馆藏品超300万件，展厅约550间，占地面积约23.3万平方米，实际展示面积约 12万平方米，其中长达20多千米的展线被誉为世界最长的画廊，年参观人数约500万人次。

The State Hermitage Museum is located on the left bank of the Neva River in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is hailed as a museum that serves as an encyclopedia of world culture and art.

Of the six buildings in the main museum complex, five—namely the Winter Palace, the Small Hermitage, the Old Hermitage, the Hermitage Theatre, and the New Hermitage are all open to the public. The oldest building, the Winter Palace, was constructed by Empress Elizabeth in 1754.

The museum houses over 3 million items across approximately 550 exhibition rooms, covering an area of about 233,000 square meters, with an actual display area of around 120,000 square meters. The exhibition route spans over 20 kilometers, recognized as the longest gallery in the world,attracting about 5 million visitors annually.

博物馆的藏品分为八个部分。西欧艺术品是藏品中的皇冠，其中，绘画艺术品则是这顶皇冠上最耀眼的明珠。达·芬奇、拉斐尔、伦伯朗、马蒂斯、凡·高、毕加索……他们的作品几乎构成了一部完整的西方绘画史。

The museum’s collection is divided into eight departments. Western European artworks are the crown jewels of the collection, and among them, the paintings are the most dazzling gems on this crown. The works by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Rembrandt, Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso…represent virtually a complete history of Western painting.

博物馆有一个特别引人瞩目的展厅——彼得大帝展厅。这里陈列着大量彼得大帝生前用品，还有一尊彼得大帝仿真人坐像，以蜜蜡制成，坐像的头发用的是彼得大帝本人的真实头发。

The museum features a particularly striking exhibition hall—the Peter the Great Hall. This hall displays a large number of items used by Peter the Great during his lifetime, as well as a lifelike wax figure of Peter the Great, made from beeswax, with the hair taken from the real Peter the Great.

伏尔泰坐像

法国雕塑家乌东于 1782 年创作。这尊大理石雕塑比例协调，雕刻细腻，表现了思想家伏尔泰的睿智与生命力。

The Statue of Voltaire

It was created in 1782 by French sculptor Houdon.

This marble sculpture is proportionally harmonious and intricately carved, showcasing the wisdom and vitality of the thinker Voltaire.

孔雀钟

它是用镀金青铜打造的超大型钟表，由一系列极其复杂的机械装置组成。这个钟表已有 200多年历史。每到整点时刻（需由工作人员手动启动），孔雀钟上的各种动物便开始表演。猫头鹰转头，孔雀开屏，公鸡打鸣，蜻蜓形钟摆持续摆动，这些动态的表演使得孔雀钟不仅仅是一件静态的艺术品，更是一件充满生机与活力的动态装置。

The Peacock Clock

It is an oversized clock made of gilded bronze, consisting of a series of extremely complex mechanical devices. This clock has a history of over 200 years. At the top of each hour(when activated by museum staff), various animals on the peacock clock begin to perform. The owl turns its head, the peacock spreads its tail, the rooster crows, and the dragonfly-shaped pendulum continues to rotate as the second counter. These dynamic performances make the peacock clock not just a static work of art, but a dynamic device full of vigor and vitality.
